Driven by relentless curiosity, Ishita is an inventive detective who views any project like a mystery waiting to be solved. Her favorite “cases” are working with clients to help them identify their core issues and help them crack any challenge they may face.

Having worked for a Fortune 50 Company via an Innovation Lab, during Graduate School, she has a deep appreciation of solving user-centered business problems creatively. She harbors a passion for learning and can usually be found pursuing some or the other course to improve her skill-set.

Being a Business Designer

Our objective is to help Caterpillar identify and address user-centered pain points. We brainstorm and develop new and potentially disruptive business opportunities for Caterpillar to help the company connect with its customers in better and more profitable ways.
Being the only Business Designer on the team, I was solely responsible for all Business Plan Development.

Cool Things I’ve Done:

Researched and Identified possible entry-paths for Caterpillar in shared-economy, wearables and education markets.

Served as a client and guide for the student-team responsible for prototyping a platform I designed and conceptualized.

Co-Designed and executed a market research focus group for heavy equipment operators

Being an Associate Consultant

Our objective was to gather and analyze customer requirements to customize the Retail Banking Platform of Flexcube, the flagship product of the company, according to requirements.

Being a Student

As an Engineer, I chose MIS as my Masters to stay close to my technical roots.

However, I had developed a deep interest in Management and explored this side through various Management-related classes.

Some Cool Things I Did:

Designed an Integrated-Marketing Strategy for UIC Undergrad Admissions

Built an interactive tool assisting marketing tactic decisions and budget allocations, by forecasting ROI and sales lift expectations, across the CPG industry.

Solved critical business issues regarding seasonality in real-estate for ShowingTime.com
